In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Ever-Merciful

The purpose of this initiative is to provide an adequate message of Islam to a non-Muslim audience. This is achieved by distributing free literature in public and on demand. To see what literature we supply please click here

In this age of mass information, we do not aim to proselytize anybody but provide a medium in which our brothers and sisters in humanity can make a better-informed choice. We are here simply to deliver a message and remove any misgivings one may have about Islam. If somebody does choose to convert to Islam we also provide a convert outreach service networking new converts to their local communities. We also offer an educational and outreach service for those involved or confused about sectarian issues that may involve fringe ideologies that are known to radicalise young and frustrated Muslims.

The invite2Islam initiative falls under the Saladin Publishing project. Named after the great defender of faith Salah ud-Deen al-Ayyubi. Saladin is the westernised spelling of the name. We have named the project such as it is our endeavour to defend the faith. This is done through an effort known in the Sharia’ah as Jihad bil-Qalam, i.e. Jihad with the pen. For more information about the authentic understanding of what Jihad is, click here.

Allah. The personal name of the creator of the universe, known to educated Jews, Christians and Muslims as the one true monotheistic God. Abraham knew him as El, Moses knew Him as Eloh [Elohim as the plural of majesty] and Jesus knew Him as Alaha who was, in his supposed own words, “Eloi, Eloi, i.e. my God, my God”. Who is Prophet Muhammad? ﷺ – Sal Allahu ‘alayhi wasallam – Peace and blessings be upon him

The second part of the Muslim testimony is “Muhammad Rasoolullahi”, i.e. Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. It is the belief of Muslim orthodoxy that Prophet Muhammad, sal Allahu ‘alayhi wasallam, is the primordial Prophet. He was the first prophet to be created in spirit form, and the last prophet to be sent in the physical form.

Prophet Muhammad, sal Allahu ‘alayhi wasallam, is the last Prophet in a consistent chain of prophets that Allah sent to humanity throughout time in every generation. All of the Prophets took an oath with Allah to help his mission and accept his office. They all prayed to be from his nation, and Allah accepted only one of their supplications. That was Jesus Christ, alayhi as-salaam, who will be a key member of the Muslim community upon his return.

Jesus prophesied the coming of the Prophet calling him by the name of Ahmad. There are also words of Jesus within the Christian scriptures prophecizing the “parakletos” i.e. the Spirit of truth, and the praised one. This is alongside many other prophecies contained within the Jewish-Christian scriptures that accurately point to the coming of Prophet Muhammad, sal Allahu ‘alayhi wasallam

Whereas all of the previous prophets were sent to their respective people, Prophet Muhammad, sal Allahu ‘alayhi wasallam, was sent as a Messenger to the whole of humanity. Allah completed His religion with Prophet Muhammad, sal Allahu ‘Alayhi Wa Sallamand sent down the Qur’an as a guide to the whole of humanity.

What is the Holy Qur’an? Why is the most studied and memorised book on the face of the earth? Why is this a book like no other?

The Qur’an is the Muslim Holy Scripture that Allah revealed to Prophet Muhammad, sal Allahu ‘alayhi wasallam. It was revealed through the medium of Angel Gabriel [Jibar’eel] and orally recited to the Prophet, salAllahu ‘alayhi wasallam, over a period of twenty-three years.

The Prophet, known not to be able to read or write before the revelation descended, would recite the miraculous revelations before the companions who would then memorize and write down the revelation.

After the Prophet passed away, the companions of Muhammad, Allah be well pleased with them, transferred the Qur’an into book-form.  Muslims revere this text as the direct speech of Allah Almighty.

There have been many attempts to render the Qur’an into the English language, however, there is nothing like the ‘Arabic Qur’an which – although not poetry – contains a consistent melodious rhyming prose, replete with a miraculous message that amazes scientists and other academics to this very day. Men throughout the ages, Muslim and non-Muslim, have affirmed that the Qur’an cannot be anything else but the word of God Almighty.

For the first time in English, the full explanation of the Qur’an has been delivered in audio format by Shaykh Abu Ja’far al-Hanbali. In this lecture set, the Shaykh has endeavoured to translate the classical commentary of Imaam ‘Abdur Rahmaan Ibn al-Jawzi. The lectures can be obtained here on the YOUTUBE channel Reasons4Faith

Jihad is perhaps the most misunderstood term today.  It is a word broad meaning that denotes all types of struggle, not just the military struggle, but the struggle, in every aspect of the life of a human being. It does not denote war, although war against invaders and oppression is indeed a struggle, a jihad. Islam holds no concept of a “holy war”.

Islam sees war as an unwanted necessity which is only permitted under very dire circumstances. The military jihad is strictly defensive in which lands are attacked and invaded by a foreign entity, and only offensive in order to remove oppression from other lands. Jihad is not the terrorist activities that have been carried out by some unstable nutcases and then attributed to the religion of Islam. Islam is a religion of peace and not a religion of violence.  Yet violence is sometimes used to remove another violent entity in order to keep the peace.

Undoubtedly, any peace-loving person would not stand by to witness an elderly woman violently abused. Mostcertiantaly they would rush to the rescue, and put a stop to that abusive entity. There is much more to be said about Jihad here. Over the forthcoming weeks, I hope to update this page with more materials that give more clarification to this often misunderstood concept within Islam. Are the ISIS Islamic?

The modern age has been plagued with numerous extremists all claiming the doctrines of Islam. Yet, when we peel back their agenda and look behind the mask, we find their motives entirely political. The cult known as ISIS or Da’eesh, do not have any traditional Islamic foundations or ideals as their agenda, they are a reaction to the geopolitical crisis in Iraq and Syria.  The Syrian Islamic scholar, Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi, addresses these issues in detail in his book REFUTING ISIS, exonerating the doctrines of Islam from such acts of nonsensical violence allegedly committed in the name of Allah.

Refuting ISIS – Further rebutting ISIS and its ideological foundations

This second edition of the book comes after the heinous attacks that ISIS perpetrated in Egypt, Lebanon, Turkey, France, the USA and Indonesia.

These attacks, which must be condemned by Muslim scholars and preachers around the world, are another testimony that, by killing women, children, and civilians, ISIS betrayed Islam, betrayed the Holy Quran, and betrayed the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

New subjects are also tackled, such as the invalidity of excommunicating Muslim rulers for not applying certain aspects of Shari’ah, Islam’s position towards democracy, and the prohibition of destroying pre-Islamic monuments and sacred sites. Several other topics benefitted from more rigorous proofs, especially the section confirming that ISIS criminals have left the fold of Islam and are no longer Muslims.

A question that is relevant to the world today, Islam, is it Really a Religion of Peace? Shaykh Abu Ja’far answers this question and addresses the topic of warfare in the Qur’an, Islam, and War in its historical context and the issues and misunderstandings effecting the Muslims and non-Muslims today.  Click here to listen

Islam, Jihad & the Crusades

The Christian apologist, John Gilchrist and Islamic lecturer, Shabbir Ally discuss the issue of violence and religion and the path to peace through understanding. This discourse is a must watch. See here

Why donate to the Da’wah when you can donate to humanitarian causes? Let us, not be mistaken, calling to Islam is indeed one of the best humanitarian causes. It is calling to salvation in the hereafter and helping prevent those who may possibly go to the hell-fire for rejecting Islam out of ignorance. Should we help guide somebody then we have saved one life from eternal punishment. We should have concern for others as if they were children playing on the train tracks, unaware that a train is due and would do them harm. Our job is to warn and call to the correct path. Like any other humanitarian cause, we do not want to see people suffering and seek to eradicate a more severe suffering for those who take true guidance.

Invite2islam is a local based da’wah initiative that aims to provide free informative reading materials for those who wish to know more about Islam.

We aim to provide

  • Free Qur’an
  • Free informative literature on various subjects
  • DVD’s and other multimedia
  • A tour of the Mosque
  • Quarterly Islamic exhibitions
  • A professional level of convert care
  • Outreach service to prevent radicalization
  • Regular functions including the provision of food
  • Perhaps our own space. It would be lovely to buy a building and hire good scholarship so that we could help mould converts into our future Imaams and leaders. At the moment many convert’s faith is in peril by having to rely on a community that – to tell the blunt truth – do not care much for converts and the future of conversion.

All these efforts require serious funding

This is a grassroots endeavour and no man is an Island. I cannot do this alone. I need some serious help. This includes financial help. This da’wah is calling to the way of Allah and there is much merit. This is a humanitarian cause of the highest degree as it involves saving humanity from the brink of the Hell-fire. Spiritual salvation from the pending punishment should hold a significant place in the true believer’s heart.

Perhaps you desire to do da’wah but due to time, job obligations, etc, you cannot physically participate. Then this is an opportunity for you to financially participate. You will be rewarded for your hard-earned money and intention to do da’wah. We will put your money to good use.

Allah says in the Qur’an:

“Who will loan to Allah a beautiful loan? For Allah will increase it manifold to his credit and he will have besides a liberal reward” Qur’an – 57:11

“Those who spend in the way of Allah whether in prosperity or in adversity… Allah loves those who do good” Qur’an 3:134

Prophet Muhammad, sal Allahu ‘alayhi wasallam, said:

“When a man passes away, his good deeds come to an end except for three;sadaqahjaariyah; beneficial knowledge; a righteous relative that prays for him”. Saheeh Muslim

To help or even financially aid the da’wah, it is better for you than the world and all the treasures it contains. The Prophet, sal Allahu ‘alayhi wasallam, said to ‘Ali ibn Abi Taalib, radiy Allahu ‘anhu:

“For Allah to guide one person through your efforts is better for you than the riches of the world”

Da’wah is one of the most significant and noble deeds. Allah says in the Qur’an:

“Who is better than those who call to the way of Allah, forbidding the wrong and enjoining the right?”

Although the question is rhetorical, Allah is emphasizing the importance of doing da’wah.

Da’wah is not an action that the Prophet, sal Allahu ‘alayhi wasallam, neglected at any time. The Prophet, sal Allahu ‘alayhi wasallam, was continuously constant and consistent in his da’wah activities by calling to Islam. Let’s ask ourselves in all honesty, how many Muslims are truly active in da’wah? How many Muslims are bothered and are willing to share this beautiful faith with humanity? This is a very important question as the Prophet ,sal Allahu ‘alayhi wasallam, said:

“None of you are true believers unless he desires for his brother what he desires for himself”

Variations of this hadeeth say humanity in place of brother. This demonstrates that the hadeeth is not restricted to gender, number or even faith as the word brother denotes the whole of humanity. This is certainly the understanding that the great scholar Imaam an-Nawawi carries as seen in his famed work “al-Arba’een – The Forty Hadeeth”.

The call to Allah is all about sharing the faith with humanity, even if it is only on an informative level. After all, we can only preach the message in earnest. It is Allah who guides. Therefore, we are in a win-win situation whether people accept or reject the call.

The obligation is only to preach the message as the Prophet ,sal Allahu ‘alayhi wasallam, said:

“Convey from me, even if it is an ayah”

We can deduct from this hadeeth that knowledge is a responsibility. Whatever knowledge we possess, great or small, it is an obligation to share with others.

Of course, many Muslims are busy with other pressing obligations. Allah sees everything, but this not mean that Muslims should miss out on the merits of doing da’wah.

Daw’ah can be done through trade or any other work place. However, due to business and other restrictions, one may not be able to provide adequate information.

Therefore, why not earn the rewards and merits for da’wah by donating? Or we could even help you in your da’wah efforts by providing the adequate information to disseminate to your neighbours and the public around you.

Now and again I roll out the da’wah trolley and offer the public free Qur’ans and information on Islam. Perhaps I could help you do the same? Or if you are local to me we could venture out together? I encourage for you to join me in this endeavour.

The Messenger of Allah, sal Allahu ‘alayhi wasallam, said:

“A single endeavour in Allah’s cause in the afternoon or the evening is better than the world and whatever is in it.” Saheeh al-Bukhaari

If you cannot, however, donations suffice and you will still carry the same rewards.

May Allah give you the tawfeeq to take this beautiful opportunity of performing da’wah, whether you are physically active or financially active. Ameen
