Why donate to the Da’wah when you can donate to humanitarian causes? Let us, not be mistaken, calling to Islam is indeed one of the best humanitarian causes. It is calling to salvation in the hereafter and helping prevent those who may possibly go to the hell-fire for rejecting Islam out of ignorance. Should we help guide somebody then we have saved one life from eternal punishment. We should have concern for others as if they were children playing on the train tracks, unaware that a train is due and would do them harm. Our job is to warn and call to the correct path. Like any other humanitarian cause, we do not want to see people suffering and seek to eradicate a more severe suffering for those who take true guidance.

Invite2islam is a local based da’wah initiative that aims to provide free informative reading materials for those who wish to know more about Islam.

We aim to provide

  • Free Qur’an
  • Free informative literature on various subjects
  • DVD’s and other multimedia
  • A tour of the Mosque
  • Quarterly Islamic exhibitions
  • A professional level of convert care
  • Outreach service to prevent radicalization
  • Regular functions including the provision of food
  • Perhaps our own space. It would be lovely to buy a building and hire good scholarship so that we could help mould converts into our future Imaams and leaders. At the moment many convert’s faith is in peril by having to rely on a community that – to tell the blunt truth – do not care much for converts and the future of conversion.

All these efforts require serious funding

This is a grassroots endeavour and no man is an Island. I cannot do this alone. I need some serious help. This includes financial help. This da’wah is calling to the way of Allah and there is much merit. This is a humanitarian cause of the highest degree as it involves saving humanity from the brink of the Hell-fire. Spiritual salvation from the pending punishment should hold a significant place in the true believer’s heart.

Perhaps you desire to do da’wah but due to time, job obligations, etc, you cannot physically participate. Then this is an opportunity for you to financially participate. You will be rewarded for your hard-earned money and intention to do da’wah. We will put your money to good use.

Allah says in the Qur’an:

“Who will loan to Allah a beautiful loan? For Allah will increase it manifold to his credit and he will have besides a liberal reward” Qur’an – 57:11

“Those who spend in the way of Allah whether in prosperity or in adversity… Allah loves those who do good” Qur’an 3:134

Prophet Muhammad, sal Allahu ‘alayhi wasallam, said:

“When a man passes away, his good deeds come to an end except for three;sadaqahjaariyah; beneficial knowledge; a righteous relative that prays for him”. Saheeh Muslim

To help or even financially aid the da’wah, it is better for you than the world and all the treasures it contains. The Prophet, sal Allahu ‘alayhi wasallam, said to ‘Ali ibn Abi Taalib, radiy Allahu ‘anhu:

“For Allah to guide one person through your efforts is better for you than the riches of the world”

Da’wah is one of the most significant and noble deeds. Allah says in the Qur’an:

“Who is better than those who call to the way of Allah, forbidding the wrong and enjoining the right?”

Although the question is rhetorical, Allah is emphasizing the importance of doing da’wah.

Da’wah is not an action that the Prophet, sal Allahu ‘alayhi wasallam, neglected at any time. The Prophet, sal Allahu ‘alayhi wasallam, was continuously constant and consistent in his da’wah activities by calling to Islam. Let’s ask ourselves in all honesty, how many Muslims are truly active in da’wah? How many Muslims are bothered and are willing to share this beautiful faith with humanity? This is a very important question as the Prophet ,sal Allahu ‘alayhi wasallam, said:

“None of you are true believers unless he desires for his brother what he desires for himself”

Variations of this hadeeth say humanity in place of brother. This demonstrates that the hadeeth is not restricted to gender, number or even faith as the word brother denotes the whole of humanity. This is certainly the understanding that the great scholar Imaam an-Nawawi carries as seen in his famed work “al-Arba’een – The Forty Hadeeth”.

The call to Allah is all about sharing the faith with humanity, even if it is only on an informative level. After all, we can only preach the message in earnest. It is Allah who guides. Therefore, we are in a win-win situation whether people accept or reject the call.

The obligation is only to preach the message as the Prophet ,sal Allahu ‘alayhi wasallam, said:

“Convey from me, even if it is an ayah”

We can deduct from this hadeeth that knowledge is a responsibility. Whatever knowledge we possess, great or small, it is an obligation to share with others.

Of course, many Muslims are busy with other pressing obligations. Allah sees everything, but this not mean that Muslims should miss out on the merits of doing da’wah.

Daw’ah can be done through trade or any other work place. However, due to business and other restrictions, one may not be able to provide adequate information.

Therefore, why not earn the rewards and merits for da’wah by donating? Or we could even help you in your da’wah efforts by providing the adequate information to disseminate to your neighbours and the public around you.

Now and again I roll out the da’wah trolley and offer the public free Qur’ans and information on Islam. Perhaps I could help you do the same? Or if you are local to me we could venture out together? I encourage for you to join me in this endeavour.

The Messenger of Allah, sal Allahu ‘alayhi wasallam, said:

“A single endeavour in Allah’s cause in the afternoon or the evening is better than the world and whatever is in it.” Saheeh al-Bukhaari

If you cannot, however, donations suffice and you will still carry the same rewards.

May Allah give you the tawfeeq to take this beautiful opportunity of performing da’wah, whether you are physically active or financially active. Ameen
